Excellence Peer mediation #1.

Today as per usual on a Friday I had Peer mediation. But as the year 7s were away, since Wendesday for the peer mediation to still run I decided to put the year 8s that were here in groups whith other year 8s.Unfortunately there was only one half of lunch for each day,as it is normally on the whole lunch. But to make the groups all i did is who ever was on the day e.g thursday all the year 8s on that day would go together.Personally I thought that people were not taking there job seriously as bearley no was doing there duty.I did discuss this with Mrs Stinston so she was aware. As for my duty I went Whith Hailey who was on the first half unlike me as I am on the second half.we started by goig around the junior where everything seemed fine so we went to the field we only came across one problem wich was as easy as saying "how would you feel as if it was you."In my opinion using this sentence really helps solving whith kids who will not let other kids play.We then just had a quick walk around room 10 and 11 and headed back to the junior area and ended there and came back.It was a really quite lunch.i ended off by playing a game of basketball.

I think I showed Excellence by just doing the right thing and to my best.

Peer mediation merit 5

Today as per usual on a Friday second half of lunch I had peer mediation.Maxim,Shivanah and I started off by going to the junior area as we get most of our problems from there. So when we got there we did not get any problems for a while so we  went to the field were we only got two pproblems wcich involved a disagreement unfortunately, we recieved the problem when the  lunch bell  was just about to go so we tryed to solve it but as we got to no more about the problem we realised it involved violince so we told them we were not alowed to solve it and that they should tell there teacher as peer mediators are not allowed to deal whith problems that involve vioince as we waked back the two kids that had the confict seemed fine whiles walking back so we did not really think we had to keep trying to solve the prolem.

Something I found slightly hard was tryng keep other kids away from us trying to hear the stry or we keep having other kids just coming in to ask us what hapeened and It gets really fustrating because we have to spend more time telling people to go away than solving the proble so I think I showed the respect care value by being respectfull when telling the kids to go away.

Games with minimal or no equipment.

In PE we have been participating in a variety of games that require little or no equipment.
Below is the Matrix which shows our progression in this unit of learning.

Screen Shot 2017-03-12 at 12.32.06 PM.png

The table below shows my understanding of games with minimal or no equipment.
(Fill this table in, in as much detail as possible. )

Examples of Games that need minimal or no equipment.
What equipment would we usually need to play these games.
Why do we play games with minimal or no equipment?
Tag games e.g Indian tag, octopus and invisible tag.And some games that involve large groups like catch the dragons tail.mostly cones and balls.
and things similar to cones e.g flags.
so if in case we don't have any equipment you still have lots of games to play so your always involved.

My Strengths.
Some things that I have done well during this unit of learning are like P.E overall and I listened to the rules.because………..I just like P.E and listening to the rules helps you play fairly.

My Next Steps.
Some things I could improve on when playing games with minimal or no equipment are…….  Because…………… is trying to think of other;different ways to play a game.

Leadership article

In writing I have been learning to use a wide range of punctuation appropriately and with increasing accuracy like . , ! ? “”
- colon :
- semi-colon ;
- hyphen -
- parentheses ( )
- brackets [ ]
- ellipses ...

I have been especially focusing on using parentheses and semi-colon. I have highlighted these in green where I have used them as well as other punctuation that I changed because it was used incorrectly. Here is a piece of my writing that shows this.

I will show theese Leadership by firstly, showing up to my duty on time to demonstrate trustworthiness and show resilience by not giving up and last but not least!;to show active thinking by using multiple strategies.

HERE IS ANOTHER PIECE OF WRITING WHERE I USED PUNCTUATION.

Showing active thinking is very Important.Bill Gates really showed active thinking by.When something would go wrong [not according to plan] he would think to make it better and overall he came up with the idea of Microsoft.

Leadership 5 Buddy program.

Today Brook and I had buddy program along with the other half of our class. We first started by being put in to group whit about six or seven year ones.In our first, group we had all boys which personally I think is the group that overall listened the best. After, introducing ourselves and asked them to introduce themselves we started to play color tag once we thought, that it got a little bit boring we played a color and shapes game.Once, time was up we arranged the boys into a line and sent them off. When we got our next group we just explained the rules and played the color and shapes then we played tricky tag because the kids insisted. Finally we got our last group of kids we decided to play catch the dragons tail and cat and mouse after a while, time was up.Overall this was really fun and I also think the kids enjoyed it because we ran games that we assumed they had not played befor or we added a twist.

CARE VALUE I SHOWED WAS:Active thinking because we played a range of games and used out time wisely.
